Born in 1986, CHUMS's enduring classic, the "Hurricane Top."
This piece, which can be considered the very origin of the brand, has been faithfully revived with the extremely rare woven label used in the 1989 "Hello Wear from CHUMS" release.
It was born in Hurricane, Utah, USA, from the innovative idea of fusing a sweatshirt with a rugby shirt. Every detail has been thought through — including a "won't ride up" construction unlike that of an ordinary sweatshirt, vivid garment-dyed colors, soft brushed cotton fleece (napped interior), and high-quality PRYM snap buttons. A proprietary surface treatment has also been applied to reproduce the texture and soft feel of the original.
Conceived by a river guide, this product has transcended the boundaries of fashion and won support across a wide range of outdoor scenes, from climbers to surfers. Forty years after its debut, it continues to be loved as an iconic CHUMS staple.
